Getting to Tetbury

By car
Tetbury is less than 30mins from the M4 and M5 motorways.
 
From London: Leave the M4 at Junction 15 (Swindon). Travel North on the A419 (to Swindon) and continue until you reach the A419 (Cirencester) junction. Head towards Cirencester ring-road, and travel clockwise to the Hospital roundabout. Continue until the next roundabout, and take the A429 to Tetbury. This quickly becomes the A433, which you follow until you reach Tetbury.
 
From Bristol and the South-West: Leave the M4 (east-bound) at Junction 18 (Bath and Chipping Sodbury. Turn left on the roundabout and follow the A46. Continue on this route until you reach the A433 (Tetbury, Didmarton). Follow this road, past Westonbirt Arboretum, until you reach Tetbury.
 
From the North and Midlands: Leave the M5 (south-bound) at Junction 13 (Stroud). Turn left on the roundabout and follow the A419 until you reach Stroud. Follow the signs for the A46 (Bath) and continue through Nailsworth. After climbing the hill after Nailsworth, you'll come to a cross-roads. Turn left onto the A4135, and continue through Beverston until you reach Tetbury.
 
By train
Kemble is the nearest train station, and has direct trains to London Paddington, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Swindon and Reading. Most trains also stop at Stroud and Didcot. Trains are operated by First Great Western, and stop at Kemble at least hourly in each direction. The 881 bus connects Kemble with Tetbury and Cirencester (the bus stop is a short walk from the station). Taxis are also available from the front of the station.
 
By bus
The 881 bus will take you to Cirencester and Kemble Station, and runs every two hours or so. The 620 takes you from Tetbury to Bath and back (the journey takes around 75mins) - this service runs every two hours or so. Both services pick up from J&C News, in the middle of Long Street. The 29 bus runs from Tetbury to Minchinhampton and Stroud, and runs every two or three hours. This service leaves from Chavenage Lane (just north of Long Street) and takes around half an hour to reach Stroud.
 
By air
Bristol Airport is the closest airport to Tetbury, and has services to and from the United States and many European cities. Transport to and from the airport is best by car or taxi, although it's possible by train and bus. To find out how, try Traveline South West
